Okay. c) It was confirmed by the state government that Joe wasn't even aware of the tax lien, and the lien itself amounted to only $1,182, which usually amounts to a filing error. A mundane issue blown to gigantic proportions by the media. By law, you are required to be notified if you owe taxes before a lien is placed. How can he not be aware? Again, if you don't think any of the above is lying, what do you call it?

At $47k a year, he is a long way from buying a business that generates $250k a year of business, much less an income of that. By the time he is in position to do that, the tax code will be different. According to the owner of the company where Joe works, they don't generate anywhere close to $250k a year. There are two plumbers in the shop.
