Dramatically increasing CO2 levels are increasing global temperatures.

Long and short-term variations of weather cycles have occurred with regularity since the Earth has existed. A change in CO2 level can exacerbate pre-existing cycles.

One result could be the loss of the viability of farming regions which have otherwise seen long-term viability.
