"There's been a war on science for the past 10 years. Palin is part of that war. Where have you been?"

That's why Ten is such a disappointment. Here's an Ivy League educated man, himself making VERY good coin standing on the shoulders of men who BELIEVED in science and proved it's truth, supporting those who would deny it.

All I can figure is that he's some twisted form of a self-hater.

Ted, > There's been a war on science for the past 10 years.

What "war on science"? The only ones making such claims are those who assume the mantle of science and use it to denounce anyone who dares challenge the "scientific" point-of-view.

Science is all about challenge. It's all about review. Hypothesis, experiment, results, all coming together and forming the basis of scientific theories. Yet even said theories are not immune to challenge. Doesn't matter if the challenges come from those who are not scientists themselves.

What I've seen these days, however, are people calling themselves followers of "science" and jumping to wild-ass conclusions. They denounce men of faith of having a "holier than thou" stance, yet they hypocritically do the exact same thing.

In a world that is increasingly becoming complex, they simply their world view as one of "science vs. faith." The liberal version of "you are with us or you are against us." I see Nobel Peace Prize laureate Al Gore doing this ALL THE TIME, while sitting comfortably in his 10,000 ft2 mansion. Give me a break, I see no difference between Al Gore and Pat Robertson.

So you can keep conjuring up this so-called "war on science" all you want. In the end, all the intelligence that you guys claim to have a monopoly on won't answer the basic questions of the human soul. If guys smarter than you couldn't prevent a simple financial crisis from occurring, what can guys smarter than you present as a replacement for God? Human arrogance?
