Just because you don't like Bush and you think he's cost this country it's credibility doesn't mean that many of his policies weren't correct. However, even I recognized that Bush was pandering to the farm vote in pursuing ethanol.. The whole policy is inane and now it's going to deflate into a bust.

On the other hand, you're putting yourself in the same lot with those who stifled enforcement of immigration laws, and used the legislative process to warp our programs to reward those who have entered this country illegally.

We're going to have a lot of people who need assistance who DESERVE and ARE QUALIFIED for it. And while I recognize that the Democrats have opened the pandora's box of illegal immigration, a box that will be difficult to close, how can you convincingly assert that Obama will change those policies?

He can't.. And his fellow travelers won't let him because they have staked their repuations on these programs. In fact, they tried to get money inserted in that $700 Billion for groups like ACORN, to promote the very policies that got us in this mess.

What will result is even more of the same entitlement programs we've seen in the past and that are breaking the backs of the American taxpayers.

We just can't advocate hand outs anymore.. What we need are a helping hand up, via corporate/gov't programs that get people trained, employed, and productive. And we need to do it in a manner that doesn't create fiscal chaos like we're seeing...
