Well, mominlaw just called. She did it. For the first time in her life, she voted for a Democrat.
She had driven with some friends, all of whom are staunch Republicans. She said she just kept agreeing with them all the way there as they talked about how awful the Dems were, sabd she still was undecided. But she got into the booth and looked at the ballot, and said she just couldn't vote for McCain- especially with Palin. She still has lots of doubts about Obama, but feels he should have a chance.
This may not sound like big news. But it was an enormous change for her at 84 to make such a switch.

That's an awful lot of swing-state viewers who'll turn on their televisions to catch the start of the game, and find Obama delivering his closing message.

Obama must be livin' right to get lucky breaks like that on top of the lead he has assembled in all the state polls....
