No wonder people are scared.

It's too bad you can scare people with gay marriage though. I want people in stable loving relationships. I mean we (as a society) criticize homosexuals for being promiscuous but then when they want to get married we say "No"?

And as for the scouts- they are private. No one can make them take on gay scoutmasters. Obviously they shouldn't be taking federal and state money if they want to discriminate, but it is the law of the land that you can discriminate if you are private- as long as you aren't in a special area where you violate the commerce clause and interstate travel (denying people the ability to stay the night in your hotel, or eat in your restaurant, for example).

I love the idea of gay marriage. So probably all the things that scare people on the right would make me happy. But Obama isn't for gay marriage, and he's religious and a bit conservative socially, AND he isn't even a socialist. Gosh- now I'm unhappy :-)

Steve Strang, publisher of Charisma magazine, a Pentecostal publication, titled one of his recent weekly e-mails to readers, "Life As We Know It Will End If Obama is Elected."

Finally I find one. At last, one of the people who uses The Onion as their primary news source, and treats every word there as - ahem - gospel.
theonion.com

Or maybe this is what they think.

Of course, their intelligence does not resemble our earth intelligence.
