Obama will raise taxes for 5% of the electorate; McCain leaves that out and gives the impression Obama wants to raise taxes on everyone.

That charge is both fundamentally wrong and dishonest. And it's not working.

Palin's screeching about socialism utterly ignores the government's role shoring up the banks and conflates with government management of the economy, which is what socialism is all about.

As I said to someone else, McCain and Palin aren't addressing middle-class kitchen table issues with all this. So they are losing much of that vote.

From my POV, even the most left of the Democrats barely fit the position "social democrats", who are in turn to the right of true socialists (as seen in Europe many times over the past 50 years).

I am confident that in a few days there will be no need to worry :-)
