Damn Judge Emmett. The Harris County Judge (In Texas, County Judges are like County Commissioners in other states) did a great job during Hurricane Ike. A former truck company owner, he personally took control of relief and gasoline trucks and also punched the brain dead from FEMA in the gut until they got their act together a little bit. He and Houston's Mayor White were more than competent.

The problem is, we have a very long ballot in Harris County. Usually I walk in, hit the Democrat line, and then move on to the non partisan proposals. This time, I have to vote every flunky butt race individually because this is a Republican I want to re-elect. So, voting is going to take me forever.

Oh, well, it's worth it to elect honorable people who happen to belong to a dishonorable party.
