Yeah it's going to be close. But Obama needs only to keep the Kerry states and win one or two Bush states and he's the President, so the smart money is still with Obama.

The McCain pollsters seem to be searching "internal" poll numbers with high powered microscopes to find favorable trends within indexes of sub-groups related to the nominal subsets of primary groups and extrapolating normal noise as data supporting newly discerned favorable trends. At some point it it begins to look less like statistical science and more like mental masturbation... pleasurable to the manipulator but meaningless to anyone but themselves.
