But for starters, there are always 400-gram gold bars in a safe deposit box in Switzerland.

Temporarily, of course, one avoids taxes in an IRA.

That's a help when a stock like NGD goes up something like 30%-40% in one day, as it did today. But in the end you have to pay ordinary taxes.
