Canada has proved in the past that it is possible to screw up your economy even when you are very rich in natural resources and have a civilized country with almost no military expenses.

If everyone in the world stopped eating and driving cars, Canada would be in real trouble.

OT: I have just emailed the link to the Jerry Lee Lewis video to my brother and brother-in-law. Sure beats the hell our of some of these sickly acts they put on MTV now.
