That is really a tortured and wrong headed opinion imo. I'd guess that is something instilled in you by people with an agenda. Subscribing to the idea that Americans who happen to be conservative do not have a soul is akin to believing that women aren't capable of driving a car responsibly or children should be seen and not heard. It is no wonder there are deep divisions between people. Saying something like that about an entire group is ignorant and uniformed. I feel sorry for anyone who thinks that way.
