Yes, you are certainly correct, but that's not hyperinflation. Hyperinflation is when people start getting rid of money because it is depreciating so quickly--usually when it's dropping at least 2% or more per month.

If the government does not stop what it's doing, however, we certainly could get hyperinflation. My own suspicion is that when everyone sees that inflation is headed towards 20% a year, the monetary brakes will go on and that's when the wheels really come off the equities markets.
