Now you're just spinning your wheels. You pay taxes in order to receive goods and services (mostly services) in return. You may think you should pay less or receive more but if you are actually paying out and receiving nothing then you should move. What is big government? How do you know if you are looking at a government that is too big? If our government (aside from the obvious problem of being the owner of AIG) is too big, what is it supposed to cut in order to be the right size? Cut the size of the military? Cut the size of regulatory agencies - which ones and by how much? Cut the size of the WH staff? Cut the number of rangers in national parks? Cut what?
