I got rid of local land line company.....VZ......as soon as I thought VOIP was reliable enough. A friend used it for a yr and reported that she was quite happy with it, so I switched.

What was so ridiculous was that I couldn't call your house from here without incurring long distant charges, but I could call the Airport. + the service kept getting more and more expensive.

It's a hassle to switch, but I'm pretty persistent, and re-evaluate my situation on a yearly basis.

I'm about ready to dump one of my Vonage lines and keep the fax line, using my cell for all calls.

I called Comcast the other day and got "a deal" gg DVR included in my package for $5 less than I'm paying now. I'll try it for a year, and when they up the price on me, re-evaluate, and make changes.

Sorry for the mangled last post.....I was really, really multitasking and trying to get out of here.

;)
