We support Israel for 3 reasons. 1. We share a Judeo-Christian heritage. (A LOT of people in the U.S. would NEVER vote for somebody that did NOT support Israel for that reason alone. Any National, or even Local candidate would have a tough time even gettin' elected dog catcher if he said we should abandon Israel.) 2. Israel is the ONLY true democracy in the Middle East and the U.S. helped CREATE it. (We have a habit in the U.S. of supporting democracies and we've also seen a lot of movies about the Holocaust and how the Jewish people have been underdogs and have survived. For us to neglect a group of people that has that sort of story would be UnAmerican.) 3. Israel has the most POTENT military force in a region that is VITAL to our National Interest. (This one speaks for itself I think.)
