It is a lot different than lottery tickets. In stocks there are two directions. either you win or you lose. In lottery tickets there are 1 million directions and either you win or you lose. 999,999 times you lose. With stocks it's 50-50 unless you are stupid like u n i and always pick the wrong direction. Since this is usually the case we should vote on the direction and then each take the opposite. If we both agree, then flip for the one that takes the short. When we sell out after a fixed period, we share the profit loss. Rules are we can only lose one point but it's ok to gain 1.5 to 2. In quick reversals it is possible for one not to sell if the gain is only one point and then it plunges two, and the other side to sell to soon as the loss limit is less. Bull turn arounds kill (what we call that situation. Bear turn arounds kill the other way. Still it is possible to win 66% of the time if the trading is disciplined as one could argue bear and bull dipsy doodle in short range are rarer thant upsys and downsys beyond a point.

"OTOH if you're a "lottery ticket" type person, then you should close your eyes and buy 'em all."

HGU.............

........"gapped up at the open and then spent the day filling the gap and moving up near the day high at the end of the day.

This is bullish.
Besides, buying the USD is like buying a ticking time bomb."
