Whatever. A final suggestion is that you might want to contemplate managements own attribution of success/failure as reported in Quarterly results. My WAG from having read many is that management attributes successes to "executing on their plan" i.e. its the result of our insight and skills, whereas when things are going poorly it is always external factors, i.e. things beyond our control and please don't blame us. I'm pretty sure that one could show this is statistically significant simply by compiling the comments from these reports. It would be useful for some MBA student to do a paper on IMHO.'
