They are not 'shareholders' in Exxon.

That's right, their investment is living in Alaska, and they benefit from the deal the State made on their behalf with the oil company... profit is NOT the same as taxes, I hope you can see that... profit is made by the company, and then given to the residents of that State according to a prearranged agreement with the State under those terms... there is NO agreement that your taxes can be given to someone who pays no taxes and then calling it "a tax cut," what kind of double speak is that?
