I hadn't heard of truthorfiction before, no (well, actually I may have heard of it a while back, it sounded familiar, but certainly I hadn't bookmarked it or used it recently). Tend to use snopes simply because it's been around a while, and I haven't found it wrong: I use other specialist sites for other purposes. So?

You pointed to it as a trustworthy site, I checked out of curiosity and one of the first things I notice is a rebuttal which seems to directly address the very criticism you had of snopes. I posted it because it was IMO an amusing juxtaposition.

If they'd had a 'proven' comment I would also have posted that... albeit maybe with criticism.

When you're talking about someone else's opinion then all you can really offer is your own opinion. That's what they have to do on a lot of them. But I note if they're not confident they use words like Unproven! or Opinion!... this one they flatly call Fiction!

Which of snope's analyses would you cite as incorrect due to their political leanings? Which are swayed, or biased?
