>>>I find people who think they are libertarians incredibly funny....<<<

I have several friends who are Libertarians, but two in particular come to mind. They both essentially said the same thing, something to the effect [paraprhased]: "I'm libertarian all the way except when it comes to health care" and the other "I'm libertarian all the way except when it comes to the environment."

I think it's important to note that liberty is not money and it's not a matter as to who has the most money when they die wins or is the most free.

When it comes to the American car ...

Republicans wanting an oil change
Democrats wanting a tune-up
And Libertarians wanting free air for tires
--but what's needed is an engine overhaul.

Now, of the three above, only the Democrat candidate Obama will come close to the needed overhauling of the engine. He may not succeed, but I think he'll give more of a bid at, doing more so than Clinton who mostly had to placate GOPwingers much of his second term. And throughout the entirety of this past presidential campaign, Obama's moments of hypocrisy have been far fewer than those coming from the other candidates, especially McCain.
