Delighted to hear your Brother-in-Law is treating it. One major change to recommend is contained in these two posts. I know of no other product that Dr Davis is as adamant about as No-Flush Niacin.

Please pass this info along to him. Davis recommends, and I use, Slo-Niacin by Upsher Smith. Costco has it in 500mg tabs, 150 to the bottle, for $12.89. I take 1500mg a day. Had it out with my Doctor two weeks ago and got him to admit that it raised HDL and lowered Trigs.

As long as you get liver blood tests once a year Niacin is safe.
