That pipeline would have road access for it's entire length, with pump stations, maintenance and repair crews, vehicles and helicopters, etc. Al Qaeda terrorists out in remote areas would probably stick out like a sore thumb. And they'd have to wait 10-20 years for us to build it, before they could blow it up. Meanwhile, there's plenty of US and Canadian pipelines in both urban and remote areas that terrorists can blow up right now. We do have occasional pipeline accidents and bombings, but it's just a minor cost of doing business...
