Wow, 230K volunteers in Florida alone? Does anyone know what kind of volunteer totals previous winners had? I can't believe it was that large.

Obama's Secret Weapons: Internet, Databases and Psychology Fascinating piece. I suspect we will learn a great deal more about this in the next several months. Everyone who knows anything about it uses superlatives to describe it. Watching, for instance, Chuck Todd and two guests discussing portions of it this afternoon, and one of the guests said that the Obama camp even had lists of unregistered voters. And everyone runs their eyebrows up to show just how remarkably unusual that is. I've been struck by the organization here in northern Jersey. Of course, Jersey is not up for grabs. But those of us who have given money to the Obama campaign receive requests, regularly, to come down to headquarters to do get out the vote calling in other states. Florida was one and one other that I forget.
