OK, I'll buy that.I'll just say that all of my examples can be argued away from that perspective, except the hit job on Joe the Plumber. That to me sealed the deal. McCain brings him up way too often, for sure, but the tone of the NYTimes and the AP articles went overboard and were completely irresponsible, IMO. "In your opinion" is key. The guy seems to relish the public stage, and that has costs and benefits. I he said "listen I was just an example, I'm a regular "Joe", I'm going back to my plumbing business" then I'm sure the MSM would leave him alone. But he's chosen to be an advocate... and do a record deal????And I don't care what Rush says that's so offensive. Or Michael Savage. Or Anne Coulter. Shock jocks love being offensive. Just ask bentway on this very thread. But I hold the mainstream media to a much higher standard. Is that wrong? No it's not wrong... and they are performing at a higher standard than Rush, Coulter or Savage. But net, net, net, you can't say that a minor bias of the MSM, compared to the screaming bias of the rebid right media (he's a Muslim, he's a terrorist, he's a Marxist, he's not a US citizen, he's going to socialize the country, he's abandoned his relatives, he's going to demand slavery reparations, he's going to change the constitution, he hates America, he has alliances with every type of extremist, he ... ... ...) has any equivalency with the MSM which may give a sour look when McCain says something stupid. It is what it is... it's an election. The right has it's advantages, the left has it's advantages. In the end it's peoples job to figure it out. If you want to place blame if you lose, place it on the voters.
