I'm not sure this is logically related, but it may be: When I was in Japan back in the 70s, there was a fad for young lithe girls to ride big motorcycles. Riding the bikes that were much too big for an 85 lb girl to manage resulted in a lot of injuries and deaths. They passed a law requiring that part of the license test would include laying the bike on its side and picking it up again. The law worked, and the size of the motorcycle and the rider were in synch.
