RE: "what you have written below is not only nuts, but exactly what got us into this mess i.e. pure capitalism needs no government intervention and is self correcting. Crazy talk like that sociopathic ghoul Ayn Rand spews."

I may believe government intervention is harmful indeed, yet all I was doing there was defining what capitalism by definition is and isn't. Whether you think it works or not, at least I'm getting it defined about right (which everyone else seems to be sorely failing at)! Ayn Rand spewed love and truth and beauty...ggg.

Re: "First, corporations are by their very nature
sociopathic."

Ok, you are out there. You think elected leaders controlling them all in the "peoples interest" would be honest, efficient, and not sociopathic. Good luck with that.

Re: "Two: Pure capitalism could be called fascism."

In an alternate universe! By leftists wanting to distance themselves from the fascism that defines thier historical roots! Hilarious stuff! LOL

Re: "Taking the logic of a pure self regulating capitalism state, to its extreme logic, one might argue it could replace democracy."

Finally, something halfway reasonable!

Re: "I agree with you freedom works. Democratic freedom whereby the individual decides who makes dicisions for them at the ballot box!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "

Beautiful....I'll vote for me, and perhaps so will everyone else vote for themselves, and we'll all win and make decisions for ourselves by spending our own money to shape society, allowing government so little we'll only care that they give us Police, Courts, National Defense, ....oh, and Highways. But we can add a few things if you like, any old time. Trust me on that one...ggg.

Re: "And our democraticly elected society tells corporations what they can and cannot do e.g. you cannot pour mercury in the Misissippi river!!"

Brings to mind Love Canal. LOL. Government refused to heed warnings from Hooker Chemical not to build, dig, or sell to anyone else but back to Hooker so as not to allow such activities, and government built a school and two sewers puncturing the containment of the known chemical dump site anyway. That was great, wasn't it?

Government really knows how to handle a mess, eh?!

I'll leave it for you to put faith in government,

I'm sure Freedom Works much better,

Dan B.
