What those charts show is that no matter how much money you give the government they will want to spend more. What is worse, they do not spend it efficiently or well. So much of our tax dollars are wasted and the government is run so inefficeintly, I do not see how anyone could advocate giving them even more money. It is ridiculous.

If you think they will raise taxes and apply the additional amounts toward balancing the budget and work on cutting wasteful spending, you have drunk the Kool-Aid, my friend.

The problem is not that taxes are not high enough for anyone. The problem is that government is too high.

According to the figures I have seen the tax burden in this country, including federal, state and local taxes is about 40% to 50% of the economy. Can you honestly say that you are getting value for your taxes. If you think you are, I don't know how to respond. If you think you are not, as I do, why would you want to give the government more money. We pay for Rolls Royce Government and we get used flood damaged Yugo government.
