Why do we need to pay outrageous salaries to bankers. For years it was not a particularly well paid field and the banks waere stable. After all being an honest banker is not rocket science. Logic says that if you are going to pay huge salaries, you put pressure on those who get the salaries to perform, which in turn means you are paying them to use their intelligence to engage in risky behavior.
