Well, I think my statement makes plenty of sense. Trusting government to successfully act in the peoples interest by controlling corporations that came to provide stuff without government direction, is highly wishful thinking, I'd say strongly. Government, after all, can become a powerful beast if we let it (more so than any corporations sprouting under capitalism which we've known). As is often said, "power corrupts absolutely." The idea of this country is to keep the power spread around with adherence to individual freedom and individual rights.

Remember I told you this when you realize that Freedom Works. You seem now to think that government - thanks to democracy - will embody the "compassion" inherent in individual humans. I tell you now that corporations, if "sociopathic (whatever negative vision you conjure as you say that)," can't touch the level of same which a government, controlling in effect all corporations, will. Let history be your guide here.

Putting the compassion of individual humans to work can't happen through big government controlling the money of the poor, the middle class, the best, the brightest, or the richest, etc. It can only happen by putting say, 300 million individual minds to work by insisting upon the right of these individual free minds to keep and spend the vast bulk of their own personal earnings in a free market.
