Plus Bernie Sanders. He's cool. Put it this way- there are a few reasonable moderate republican senators out there. Snowe, Chuck Hagel, Arlen Specter to name a few. If democrats craft legislation that can't pass with even ONE moderate republican senator, which is all they will need after Tuesday, then that legislation probably shouldn't pass. My biggest concern right now is alternative energy. I think Inhofe and Stevens are blocking any progress there. This new Senate will ram those guys over. Even John McCain supports green energy mandates. Alt Energy will EASILY pass and get signed into law by Obama. That kills a few birds with one stone. It gives us sustainable energy, creates a bunch of jobs, and most importantly removes the middle east from the equation when it comes to international policy... and renders the red states less potent. GOODBYE OIL
