Suddenly we're all Keynesians again.

And that's yet another Brooks column I approve of. Useful infrastructure spending is sensible anyway but especially as a more purposeful stimulus.
(Interestingly, it's something else already proposed by the government here, though some economists disapprove...

Consumption is cratering.

I know we are maybe not typical, but going to town today, I have never - NEVER - seem the stores busier. Locally the economy is absolutely smoking.
