Here's from my costco amex rewards. seems to be working for me. if all ya'll have a better card for my needs as you see below, plesae let me know- dosnt look like there's a limit.

Earn Cash Back Everywhere You Use the Card




Earn 5% on purchases of automobile gasoline (any individual purchase transaction in excess of 75 gallons or equivalent dollar value will not be deemed a purchase of auto- mobile gas) at Costco Gasoline and domestic stand-alone gas stations, excluding gas purchased at warehouse clubs other than Costco, superstores or supermarkets; 3% for eating out; 2% for traveling; 1% everywhere else. Rebate amounts subject to eligibility requirements and other terms & conditions of your Cardmember Agreement.

peter, i believe that both costco and amx each provide a separate rebate.

i agree it is not good for the infrequent shopper but, unfortunately, i'm not one of those.
