No, I posted the several years they were lower in our lifetime. I do not believe otherwise or I would have posted those years too. Posters mistake my correcting their false statements with those being attacks on Obama. That is not true either. In fact, from a very selfish postition, I hope Obama wins because he is going to make me so much money that it is like a dream come true. And I disagree strongly with you regarding the Obama tax plan. It is too little. He has declared no interest in going back to the Clinton rates of the 90's. We have record deficits and spending, and his plan is to only tax the top 5% and to give the other 95% tax breaks. He states in fact that he wants to lower their taxes and for those that do not pay taxes, he will even give them money too! You are right, only the selfish don't care and there are a lot of selfish posters posting...and citizens voting for a bogus plan...it does not work, at all. You may choose to believe that this country has always had low tax rates, but that is hogwash. In addition, what is even more laughable is to call Obama a socialist when he simply wants to get our tax structure back closer to the 90's, which had us at surpluses. That not socialism. That's fiscal responsibility and every real, self-respecting Republican would want that. Only the truly selfish and shortsighted don't care that our deficits are out of control.
