I keep seeing Merrill Lynch's name hovering around MRV. I certainly hope we'll see coverage from Mother Merrill in the near future.

Ron, As of today from Zacks, inc. the date of the last update: Bear Stearns BUY 10/08/97 Pref. Tech. STRONG BUY 10/07/97 Volpe BUY 10/02/97 Oberweiss BUY 09/27/97 Maybe Zacks has not yet updated this info., or one of the buy ratings is categorized by Zacks as a moderate buy. Why the 3 strong buys and 1 mod. buy, I don't know. (If anyone has differing info., please post.) Penn. Merchant also has an analyst following MRVC, Charles Robins, he issued a buy rating in a report dated 5/30/97. Zacks shows PM's last update occurred on 06/02/97 but lists a N/A as PM's recommendation on that date. It appears the year forward estimates are jumping around a bit. I think that investors (and some analysts) are not, in general, real confident in the networking sector. IMHO, that sentiment will change...and fairly soon. I noted that Zacks now has MRVC rated 9 out of 76 in its group. jc
