Progress in the debt markets??? Yes there has been some change. Before the banks weren't lending to each other at 4% LIBOR. Now they aren't lending to each other at 3% LIBOR.

I got the feeling being high cash and using a sniperscope was just fine still :O)

BTW.. OT:

I saw an awful lot of concerts in my younger days.. Everyone was out today and I had some home reno work to do..so I was spinning some old LPs.. I had forgotten just what a great set the first three songs on Cheap Trick's Live at Budakan was... Too bad that one got got away...

Just a silly style observation - many of the "perma-bears" like Jim Rogers, James Grant - often wear bow ties.

The lose ties may be part of his branding, either some he created or something from a consultant.

Re: Libor - a certain percentage of US mortgages, especially re-fi, are tied to LIBOR, and reset, with limits, yearly. Many corporate loans are also referenced as X percent over LIBOR.

This can obviously create some problems....
