Gore won. Newspapers did their own recount - if all votes had been counted as Gore wanted, he'd have still lost.

This one will be a squeaker so everyone needs to get out and vote and take the rest of the neighborhood with them. It really should be a national holiday. There may be 15 million new voters this time around so it's good that there is early voting in most states. People are, even as early voters, waiting around for hours and hours. Election day should be a doozie.
