can you imagine how many more enemies that makes? We're probably facing Armageddon successfully defending ourselves and our allies... I'm always astonished at the Left for opposing missile defense. When Reagan dreamed it up, one of the top issues on the minds of liberals was nuclear proliferation. Yet, they went nuts over it. He knew at the time it was more than 20 years away, but he had more vision than the entire Left (and frankly, more than most of his own staff, many of whom had no idea what he was talking about!). Now, successful, comprehensive missile defense is just around the corner and they want to kill it. Stupid. It just makes no sense at all.
