The "faze" "phase" bit is a good catch. I continue to make so many of those, either because I don't know better or my typing gets ahead of my brain (rather regularly) that I've given up. If I get the meaning, ok. However, I do have a gripe, now that I'm typing and think about those things. It's the constant use of terms such as "concerning," as in it's very concerning that McCain has done thus and so. There a host of words like that which now seem normal and accepted. When did that happen? As in the cliche, I must have missed the memo. Looks like the NYGiants just took it to the enfeebled Dallas Cowboys. One very nice note about the small NJ borough in which I live. A group of town activists decided the town needed some contemporary sculpture worked displayed in prominent places--borough hall, the recreation center, the library, etc. (A good many artists, performers, etc. live in town). Finances were, of course, the problem. So they organized a restaurant and wine shop open house for this Sunday afternoon. Took in fees of $14 from each participant. Then we wandered from store to store, wine shop to wine shop, tasting and visiting. Just a wonderful event. We don't have much of a town "commons" (coffee shops, restaurants, etc., where town folk regularly gather) but this became a passing one. One way to try to create an active community in a passive, largely bedroom community of community activists kind of people.
