The 100$ bill story was interesting... Most places in Toronto won't take them. Too easy to make counterfeit dough these days..

Last night I was at the 24 hour grocery and the guy ahead of me wanted to pay with C note.. No can do says the cashier (and the sign saying so is clearly posted) Let me go check with my wife says the guy.. .. After 10 minutes and the line 30 20 folks long @ midnight.. we moved on..He never came back it seems.. I know he was not in the parking lot when I left..

That piece says gold is down 25% making it the best performing investment of everything listed. The only thing is gold is not really down at all in the real market as the premiums on gold in Canada and America are over 10% if you want physical and in silver they are sometimes double. So gold and silver are by far the best safe haven.
