Barack Obama has set a record of the highest favorability of any US presidential candidates tracked in Gallup's polls since 1992.

With favorable rating of 62%, the Illinois senator made another historic move for Democrats just one day before the November 4 election, according to Gallup's final pre-election polls.

Obama also achieved his widest lead, an 11 point, in the White House race to date in the final USA Today-Gallup poll.

Senator Obama is also ahead in the Washington Post-ABC poll by 11 points, the CBS-NY Times poll by 13 points, and the CNN poll by 7 points.
