[GTE& MSFT]

<<<I suspect Microsoft's appearance may also support GTE's Unified Messaging Service that they plan to roll-out in trials quite soon. This is what they jointly demo'd (at the MSFT booth) at Supercom..if you remember. Good concept...should be interesting. >>>

As I understand it, MSFT is testing all kinds of applications in Redmond and, perhaps, Mark Lewin can add specifics if he has time. I think he still has some good contacts there.

I did talk to someone who just recently supervised another Amati installation in Redmond and word came back that they're working like a charm and impressing the socks off everyone who sees them. I would have expected nothing less.

There's another GTE installation set for the Chicago area, but I don't know if it's considered a trial or if it's a bonafide commercial deal. (Large apartment complex.) "Commercial" as in paying customers, you know, money coming in every month. :))

Oh, one other update. Amati now has the VDSL chip from NEC and they'll have product ready by the end of the year. I think we're watching Johnny struggle with his piano lessons while Susy's in the basement playing Eine kleine Nachtmusik flawlessly. A little night music, indeed. :)

Cheers!
