If I were him, I'd guess the conspiracy theorists that were left weren't worth bothering with.

His campaign released the certificate, and the state of Hawaii has even verified it. For all sane people, that's enough. For the people still left howling in the wilderness nothing will be enough- it's not like they will ever be Obama supporters, so why waste time on them?

When you bring these sorts of things up, do you believe you are modeling talking about "real" issues, as you challenged Ed to do? Is this what you had in mind rather than the answers he gave you in three as yet unanswered posts?

Just wondering.

And since it would be just as easy to post his actual birth certificate, again, why not just produce that?

He did. Ages ago. If you won't believe all the other debunkers, how about his official rebuttal site?

That's not the point. It would be easy for him to post a photo of his backside, too, to prove there are no "666" tattoos on it, but only if the requester first confess the basis for his suspicions. I say "confess" deliberately because, since there's no legitimate reason for asking, the request would have to spring from someplace unattractive.

If people were asking your mother to prove she's not a whore, would you encourage her to post the proof? In civilized society, we don't ask people to prove that they are not grossly disreputable. If we do ask, it's because we have some basis for suspicion and we are willing to offer that basis--"I suspect, Madam, that you are a whore because..."

So why do you suspect that Obama is so grossly disreputable that he would run for president when he is not eligible and so stupid to think he could get away with it?

That's just not correct.
It It is acceptable for passports and meets any legal requirement.

I have the same type of document from my birth and have used it for passports and any other time that particular requirement was needed.

Hawaii has a long form that is filled out at the hospital, and a shorter form that is filed out for the official file. The important information is that the short form reports his place of birth and his parents' names. He is an American. Other than that, what would you need to know?

But if that's your idea of a real issue, after Ed laid out an entire platform for you, it's disappointing. This is just National Enquirer stuff, given way more than its due.

\Edit, I see Dale has asked the thread to move on. Sorry, Dale! I just got up!
