I suspect he'll make Bush look like a libertarian. Well, I think we disagree on Obama. And I'm sure we both hope you're wrong. What I'd like to see is those powers and interpretations ruled out of scope by this and future presidencies. Or at the very worst have them parcelled into a "war presidency" package, with automatic sunset, scope and use very clearly defined by statute, oversight by committee (in both houses, even) and derogation punishable by steps up to immediate removal. Our executive tries to grab too much power here - it already is combined with the legislature leadership, and our judiciary is not enshrined as truly independent of government and is certainly subordinate. IMO it's only incompetence that has prevented our situation being worse...
