With the federal deficit that Bush is leaving behind edging next year up towards $1 TRILLION... and a deep recession settling over the country and most of the world, REGARDLESS of whom is in the WH they will be constrained from major spending increases and from major net tax increases as well. Between a rock and a hard place, neither significant tax nor spending increases will be possible, regardless. The world will not finance our deficits for much longer.
