I haven't seen Hatch much in recent years but he was usually very measured; I think he even worked with Ted Kennedy on some issues. The more the Republicans lapse inward into anger and bitterness, the longer they will take to get on their feet again. I'm sure it's depressing for Hatch to contemplate a Senate where he and his colleagues can pretty much be run over most of the time. But the energy is better spent on contemplating how they got there instead of lashing out about it.
