Indeed, they will have a very good handle on controlling the filibuster. As remenants of the GOP party disintegrate into what will become a Palin takeover wing, moderate Republicans will have a serious choice to make. Prominent among them will be Collins and Snowe of Maine. I don't believe they've been Palinized, nor do I think they will be. Constituent pressure in Maine could easily help to break a filibuster.

Now the colleague from his home state is none other than Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. And Nevada, more and more is going Democrat these days.

Another option to help control the Senate filibuster would be to appoint to the Obama Administration a Republican senator from a state controlled by a Democratic governor who would then appoint a Democrat as senator.

Overall, I think Obama will have all the tools he needs to exact significant and much-needed change upon America's political landscape.
