If you start with a baseline of "letting the tax cuts expire" your starting with a tax increase. The cost should be measured from current tax rates.

You think so? They were passed as a temporary stimulus with a fixed expiration date. Why shouldn't that be respected?

They probably wouldn't have passed without the expiration date, otherwise the Republicans wouldn't have put one in.
