The solar wind, by the way, is what produces the aurora borealis here on earth. Seeing an aurora should be on everyone's 'bucket list'. It's one of the most beautiful of all natural phenomena.

Absolutely.

Though I doubt Sarah Palin can see Russia from her back yard as SNL joked, I'm sure she sees the aurora borealis numerous times.

Haven't seen a good aurora here in N.MN for 3-4 years (at least while I've been outside at night).
