"Life is an open, thermodynamic process that organizes energy." This definition that I like uses terms from Physics to explain a biology construct, and can also be used in Politics explain a lot about our present Political positions. The Right sees our society as an open, thermodynamic system that organizes energy we use to expand. We on the right believe the way to prosperity is to produce more. The Left views our society as a closed, thermostatic system that recycles energy. The left believes it as a society where we need to rob Peter to pay Paul. When somebody wins, somebody else loses.
